Sister's Sword (from the By Thistle By Thimble Series)
A blacksmith and his son are surprised one day to find a young girl whose father was lost in a recent battle for the King. The blacksmith takes her in and raises her as his own, but soon finds that her true father’s courage and sense of adventure is alive and well in the girl — and is strong enough to transform a kingdom.
Mariah the Angus Calf (from the Sparkle Sleepytime Series)
There is something curious and strange about the old horse named Magus - and all the Angus Cattle advise the calves to stay away from him. One calf, however, wonders why Magus seems to know things that the cows don't and how he can seemingly disappear and then reappear somewhere else. When she finally finds out Magus' secret, she realizes that anything the old horse can do, she can do as well.
The Navigator (from the By Thistle By Thimble Series)
A village builds a ship according to the instructions from their leader, The Captain. The Captain has left them to voyage to an uncharted territory, and, once the ship is completed, they are to follow. However, the people decide they do not wish to leave their homes and risk their comfortable lives. Only Sophia, the weaver’s daughter, is bold enough to remind them all of their promise to The Captain. The people choose to ignore her words; however, they find that fate has a bigger plan for Sophia — one that they cannot ignore.
How to Be a Fire Fighter (from the Martin & Sylvia: Saturdays! Series)
Ever since Sylvia saw a fire fighter in action, she has wanted to be a fire fighter. When she and her family get to visit the fire station and see the life of a fire fighter first hand, she learns that she can start her training right away.
The Riding Cow (from the So Many Fairies Series)
Fairies love farms. They love gardens, they love farmhouses, they love farm work, they love farm play and they love farm animals. And they especially love cows. This is a story about a unique fairy who loved a unique cow — and with a little fairy magic brought a little cow fun (and wreaked a little cow havoc) on a dairy farm.
