Friday's Kind Words: Inspiring Imaginative Play
We have so much love for Sparkle Stories, and I've written you so many thank you notes in my head, that I wanted to send a real one!
Our 4-year-old son Caspar is a devoted fan of the Junkyard. I love listening to him giggle (this morning, he was laughing at the forgetful turkey). And I'm amazed when he wants to listen to the same story for the third time in a single day. For the past few days it has been the Busy Rabbit's Trick; he loves the moment when Lil Mamma's voice turns from the Warden's to her own. Lately the stories have been inspiring his own imaginative play; he's Ben, I'm Sally, and my husband Ryan is Spiro (unlike me, Ryan can actually do a pretty good impression of the voice!).
We also love the Willowbee Tree and any story that has a seal in it; Caspar has a deep and abiding love for seals. He was delighted that a seal showed up in the Willowbee episode about Loch Ness.
