Marta Bauer, the Dry Gables baker, is beloved by everyone in the town — but sometimes her procrastination and indecision can be frustrating, if not confounding, to the others. When Lena Denken asks her to make a special cake for EB Herz, she agrees, but then hems and haws and makes excuses all the way to the day before the big event. Luckily, EB himself helps her finally break through and commit not only to finishing the cake, but making the best cake she can.
