Stories to Bring Motion to Emotion
Sometimes it seems easiest to just ignore emotions that you don’t want to feel. If you don’t acknowledge them, they’ll just go away, right? Not usually. In reality, the best way to work through your feelings is to, well, feel them. Recognize they are there and let them move through. When big emotions come to the body, it can be very helpful to move just to help the body process the feels. When you or your child are feeling down or scared or anxious, getting going can be the hardest part.
This playlist is intended to help get kids moving, both fast (as in a race) and slow (like a snail). It doesn’t matter how quickly you go, it’s all about moving to move, moving to process those emotions, moving even when you don’t want to. Take an easy first step and listen in as a cast of Sparkle characters gets moving, all in their own fun ways.
Listening Time: 1 hour and 49 minutes
