Sparkle Crafts: Mother's Day Trivia Jar!

With Mother’s Day just around the corner, children everywhere are in cahoots with other family members, trying to come up with gift ideas that are sure to inspire enthusiasm in their recipients.

In the Martin & Sylvia story “Mother’s Day,” Martin and Sylvia learn the importance of giving simple gifts with love in their heart, and of giving gifts that will be truly appreciated because of their thoughtfulness.

Indeed, what mom wouldn’t love a no-fuss gift from her family that demonstrates not only their love and caring, but also lets her get a little peek at how her kids think of her when they consider the role she plays in the world and within their family?

This easy and kid-friendly Mother’s Day project is inspired by Martin and Sylvia’s pre-Mother’s Day gift-giving detective work. Kids can fill out the printable templates with their thoughts on all things mom, and then stash them in a jar for gifting purposes.

The result will be a fun Mother’s Day gift that mom can read right on the spot, and then store on a shelf as a time capsule of sorts, knowing that she can look inside in future years for a glimpse at some of the ideas that her kids had about her when they were younger.
