Sparkle Craft: Four Feel-Better Recipes
Getting sick or being hurt is never fun, but being prepared with a few things to help out makes it easier. We've found four recipes from our Sparkle Archives that will help when you have a little one who is sick or needs a bit of comfort after getting hurt.
Elderberry Syrup
Elderberry syrup is great to take when you are just beginning to feel sick. It helps boost your immune system so it can fight off whatever you might have caught.
Honey Ginger Cough Drops
These cough drops are so easy to make and you'll be happy to have them on hand. Made from simple ingredients, you can feel good about letting your kids have a few, some to soothe the throat and some just because they need a little extra care.
Homemade Soup Broth
When you are sick and it's difficult to eat, but you do feel hungry, a nice broth rich in minerals is an excellent way to stay hydrated and nourished. This recipe uses chicken but you can easily make it vegetarian by omitting the chicken.
Lavender and Sweet Orange Sleepy Spray
This spray is wonderful to help sooth nerves after a long day or a stressful situation. It's not just for sleepy time. Spray when needed to aid in relaxation.
