Nine Sparkle Summer Recipe Round-Up
Summer is almost here and that means lots of fresh food eaten outside! Summer is the perfect time for big gatherings that include food. Martin & Sylvia's family really enjoys having their friends over for a summer cookout or going on picnics. This week at Sparkle we are making plans for summer and we wanted to share a few of our favorite summertime recipes with you.
Canal Boat Campfire Stew Packets
These stew packets are perfect for cookouts. You can fill them with whatever mix you want and feed lots of people. Take them camping, to a lakeside cookout, or even your backyard fire pit.
Banana Soft Serve Ice Cream
This recipe is great for a quick cold treat. It takes just a few minutes to make and is dairy-free, too.
Baguette Sandwich
This is an easy go-to sandwich, great for picnics. A baguette sandwich relies on only two or three ingredients — a slather of butter, gooey slices of brie cheese, or a sparse sprinkle of bitter greens. Think quality over quantity.
This is not your typical grill-party dish, but it's a great alternative to have at a summer outing for those guests who don't eat meat. It's sweet and savory and will be gone before you know it!
Flower-y Summer Salad
This salad is as tasty as it is beautiful. The light floral flavor is cool and refreshing. Use this at your summer solstice bonfire or just eat it on hot day when you can't possibly think of cooking anything.
Chickpea Burgers
These are a delicious burger alternative. Keep summer light and healthy, but satisfying. Just like Sylvia in the story that inspired this burger, you'll be saying "Yes, burger!"
Roasted Bluberry Popcicles
These popcicles are lip-smacking good! You'll want to make them all summer.
Rustic Peach Tart with Raspberries and Thyme
Raspberries and peaches are some of the iconic fruits of summer, paired so well in this tart. It will be the hit of party and gone in minutes!
