Martin & Sylvia's: Saturdays! Printable Project Page: True Colors
In the Martin & Sylvia: Saturdays! story “True Colors,” Momma teaches brother and sister how to preserve colored leaves using waxed paper.
Here’s how she does it: Momma places the leaves between two sheets of waxed paper (wax side touching the leaves), and then places the waxed paper sandwich between two rags. Then she irons the top on high heat with no steam. When the wax is melted together and cooled, the leaves can be cut out and hung up, or sent in the mail to Grandma!
