Friday's Kind Words: I Hope You Enjoyed It!
My best girlfriend has been in town this week. She told me today that my little Starboy asked her to "tell me a Sparkle Story about my dumptruck."
She made one up on the spot.
(A HS English teacher, she's only heard 1-2 stories, but she said she was sure to include the two of them as characters, as well as conflicts that were resolved by the characters.)
"What did you think?" she asked at the end.
He was exasperated. "You're not finished," he said demandingly. "You have to do the words at the end."
She raised an eyebrow. But she came right up with: "This has been an original story by Sparkle Stories dot com, copyright 2013. I hope you ENJOYED IT!"
And then he was satisfied. Big smile.
(And, actually, he sometimes can be found muttering around the house: I hope you enjoyed it!!!)
