Friday's Kind Words: Help with Dinner
It's fair to say that my 5 year old loves both the Martin & Sylvia and the Junkyard stories - we listen to one or the other on the way home from school every day - but nothing has made the impact that "How to be a Firefighter" has. Not only did we have to listen to the story three times in a row, but he absolutely loved the "Firehouse Hash" we made as a follow up. It was inhaled - and by a kid who's been in a contrary I-don't-want-to-eat-that phase for several weeks. (It helped that we picked the kale from our neighbor's garden!). He now wants us to make it for dinner every night. He's excited about food again! So thank you. Yet another reason for us all to love Sparkle Stories!
