Friday's Kind Words: A Bedtime Staple
I just wanted to let you know how my much my family (2 girls and a boy - ages 9,6,3) have enjoyed your stories over the past couple of years. I grew up in Austin (and am actually here now for my high school reunion ... # 25, oh my!) although I am raising my family in Baltimore, Maryland. We have especially enjoyed the new stories about the Violet Crown - in all the years I lived in Austin I never heard this tale! Ella, my 9 year old, asked me to look for the crown at sunset - so I've been doing that - although I understand that it is rare, it is a very exciting prospect and makes my trip feel like a mission!
Your stories are a bedtime staple for us and have helped give my kids a voice to their fears & their feelings of being overwhelmed, and have helped enormously as my husband and I work through a separation - the kids listen to sparkle stories to go to sleep at both houses - A wonderful tradition that provides some nice continuity for them. (I especially like the bird in the airport story that was kindly sent to me by your staff when I requested a story about separation in a family).
So we just wanted to let you know how much we enjoy your soothing voice, the calming musical accompaniments to the stories and your wonderfully imaginative story themes. Thank you - and best of luck as you prepare for your new App launch - we are looking forward to it!
