Crafting the Holidays: Santa Lucia Window Art
This season of lanterns, candles, and twinkle lights is upon us. Some of us are filling up our calendars with festivals and parties, some of us are thinking about baking and decorating, and some of us are embracing the longer nights and the allure of staying cozy at home. It's so easy to cram our days with exciting (and fun!) activities, but we know from experience that carving out some slow time for creativity will help us thrive in the holiday season. We have a number of ideas to suggest for those sweet, quiet moments — and this is the second!
Santa Lucia's Day is celebrated with a festival of lights that marks the beginning of the Christmas season. It is meant to bring hope and light during the darkest time of the year and is celebrated on December 13 with sweets, feasts, and the lighting of many candles.
