Sparkle Stories is Looking for New Voices!
Sparkle Stories is searching for new talent to share with children and their families. We’re looking for original, unpublished stories that reflect the richness of our world.
Our vast library of stories has been created by the talented David Sewell McCann in collaboration with the Sparkle Stories editorial and creative team. His work has been inspiring and entertaining thousands of subscribers for over a decade. We are now seeking new storytellers to share their perspectives, experiences, and imaginations with our listeners, offering more ways for children to see themselves, their families, and our world reflected in our stories. We are looking to highlight diversity, representation, and inclusion.
Who We Are
Parents from around the world choose Sparkle Stories audio stories for their children’s media.
Sparkle Stories brings delight to everyday quiet times. With Sparkle Stories, children and their families can find stories that nurture and celebrate their ideas, creativity, and differences.
Our magic: we operate at a slow, kind, and gentle pace with the aim of creating a slower, kinder, more gentle world. We believe the best way to do that is to create stories that share models for: · How to be kind to others · How to be respectful in thought, word, and deed · How to live in wonder and reverence for this truly incredible world All of our stories reinforce these values.
We want children and families of all backgrounds and experiences to find themselves reflected at Sparkle Stories. We want them to feel welcome, heard, valued, and represented in the stories we share.
Sparkle’s Offer

SPARKLE MISSION
Sparkle Stories creates high quality audio stories that are simply told and carefully crafted to be relevant to children’s lives – with both its ups and downs, fun times and challenging times, ordinary days and the extraordinary.
Each Sparkle story contains a small seed of learning about: how to be kind to others, how to be respectful in thought, word and deed, how to love big and live now, how to live in wonder and reverence for this truly incredible world.
Most stories are connected to a tutorial, craft or recipe so the narrative experience does not end with the entertainment, but offers inspiration for further creativity and exploration, and guides children and their parents through real life experiences that deepen the story's lesson, intention and healing impulse.
It's the mission of Sparkle Stories to nourish children through media, not simply entertain them. In this way, we are modeling the transformation of contemporary children's media.
